G1
Unitree's best-known small humanoid: $13,500 before shipping, about two hours of battery, a 2 kg arm payload and no chore claims.
What it can do at home today
- Walks and moves its arms; Unitree calls it a “humanoid agent AI avatar” built for imitation and reinforcement learning
- Use cases named in a July 2026 buying guide: demonstrations, exhibitions, education and public presentations
What it cannot do yet
- Do household chores: Unitree claims none, and the base G1 has no dexterous hand
- Carry much: the arm payload is about 2 kg
- Be reprogrammed on the base model: customization needs the EDU edition, sold through sales
The Unitree G1 is the humanoid most people picture when they search “humanoid robot price.” It is a 4-foot-4 research, education and demo robot sold directly by Unitree at a published price. It is not designed to run your house.
Price and availability
Unitree’s shop lists the G1 from $13,500 before tax and shipping. There are two variants, G1 and G1 Pro. At the November 1, 2026 check, the G1 page said it was out of stock and “backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock,” with no date. Shipping costs $300 to $1,200, and you pay customs duties, taxes and import clearance. The EDU edition has no public price; you contact sales. The price guide compares every published price.

What it is for
Unitree describes the G1 as a platform for imitation learning and reinforcement learning, and adds that it is a civilian robot in an early-stage industry. The company offers separate application plans (G1-D, G1-Comp, G1-Boxing). The Construct’s July 2026 guide says the base G1 is meant for demonstrations, exhibitions, education and public presentations, while the EDU is used by universities, labs and startups.
The home question
A 2 kg arm payload and no hands on the base model mean it cannot load a dishwasher or fold a towel in any useful way, and Unitree does not claim it can. There is no remote operator behind it, so there is also no stranger watching through its cameras, but you are fully responsible for supervision. If you have kids or pets, read are humanoid robots safe around kids and pets first: a 35 kg legged robot can fall.
The US import rules
On July 28, 2026 the FCC added foreign-produced advanced robotic devices, humanoids included, to its Covered List. According to law firm K&L Gates, that blocks new foreign-made models from getting the FCC authorization needed to be imported, marketed or sold in the US, but does not revoke authorizations already granted.
