Figure 03

Figure's 5-foot-6 humanoid works in factories and is being tested in Bay Area homes, but has no consumer price, order page or date.

To ownNot announcedMonthly—DeliveriesNo consumer date; commercial units already delivered (BMW), home testing by Figure
Height168 cm · 5.5 ft
Remote operatorNot stated for home units; Figure says its demo videos are fully autonomous and not teleoperated

What it can do at home today

  • Unloaded and reloaded a dishwasher in a four-minute run with no resets, in a company demo (Helix 02, January 2026)
  • Tidied a living room: sprayed and wiped a surface, scooped toys into a bin, tossed a pillow onto a couch, switched off a TV with the remote (company demo, March 2026)
  • Reset a bedroom in under two minutes with two robots working together, including making the bed (company demo, May 2026)
  • Tidied living rooms, folded towels and made beds in 30 unseen Bay Area homes, with a 56% full-task success rate in blind tests (Helix 2.5, September 2026)

What it cannot do yet

  • Be bought: Figure has published no consumer price, order page or delivery date
  • Work reliably in any home yet: roughly 4 in 10 full-task attempts failed in Figure's own 30-home test
  • Do long-horizon autonomous work in a home: CEO Brett Adcock said in September 2026 that Helix 2.5 had not reached that goal

Figure 03 is the third-generation humanoid from Figure AI, a California company that unveiled it on October 9, 2025. It stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall and was designed with homes in mind: washable soft goods, a louder speaker and a wireless charging mat that works through coils in the feet (2 kW). It is not on sale to consumers.

What Figure has actually shown

The evidence for home use comes from Figure’s own posts. In January 2026 it introduced Helix 02, a single neural system that controls the whole body, and showed a robot unloading and reloading a dishwasher in a four-minute run. A living room tidy followed in March and a two-robot bedroom reset in May. Figure says these videos are autonomous. It gives no success rates for the demos.

The most useful number came on September 17, 2026, when Figure published Helix 2.5. The robot tried three behaviors (tidying living rooms, folding towels, making beds) in 30 Bay Area homes it had never seen. Figure reports a 56% zero-shot success rate on full tasks, up from 9% without its Index pretraining. Humanoids Daily counted 237 successful trials out of 420. Figure describes those as evaluation homes, not customer sites, and the post says nothing about price or availability.

Where it works today

Figure’s April 29, 2026 production post says more than 350 Figure 03 robots had been delivered, and that its BotQ plant had gone from one robot a day to one an hour. Robots go to internal R&D, data collection, housework efforts and commercial use. On June 30, 2026 Figure showed a Figure 03 moving parts at BMW’s Spartanburg plant. The same post lists field service at “residential homes”, but that is a service location, not a product offering.

What the CEO has promised

In a TIME interview at launch, Brett Adcock said the robot was not ready for home use and would go first to a select group of partners. On timing he said: “We think we can get there in 2026, but it’s a big push.” In September 2026 he acknowledged that his best-case goal for the year, a robot doing long-horizon autonomous work in a home, had not been reached. He also said Figure 04 would be the biggest leap between generations, with no reveal date. Figure decommissioned its Figure 02 fleet on September 30, 2026.

Safety and data

Figure says it uses multi-density foam at pinch points and soft textile covers. Adcock told TIME that the robot is not strong enough to hurt people and that “you’ll be able to overpower all the robots,” and that Figure plans to use data from home robots for training, with personal information detected, blurred and replaced. See the privacy guide and the safety guide.

Bottom line

If you want to put money down for a home humanoid today, 1X NEO is the one with an order page. Figure 03 is the one to watch. For the head-to-head, read 1X NEO vs Figure 03. What is unconfirmed: price, order date, whether the first consumer robot will be Figure 03 or Figure 04, and how the robot is supervised in a customer’s home.
